This privacy policy explains how Polar Patchwork, displayed as Polar Puzzle, 北境拼图, or 北境拼圖 depending on the device language, handles information. The app is developed and operated by HIFORCE INTERNATIONAL CO., LIMITED ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy applies to the current Android and iOS release with application identifier ai.hiforce.polarpatchwork.
1. Offline design and scope
Polar Patchwork is a single-player puzzle game designed to work offline. Its levels, artwork, music, sound effects, rules, and hints are included with the app and run on the device. The current release has no user accounts, cloud synchronization, advertising, behavioral analytics, crash-reporting SDK, or app-operated server that receives gameplay activity.
2. Information stored on your device
To remember your game between sessions, the app stores a small amount of game state in its private local storage:
- Progress: completed levels and the highest unlocked level.
- Current puzzle: the active level and the positions and orientations of pieces placed on the board.
- Hint state: the number of hints used on eligible levels.
- Preferences: language choice, sound and music setting, and whether the first-play guide has been completed.
This local state does not contain your name, contact details, account credentials, or an advertising profile. It stays in the app's private storage area and is not sent to us. We do not claim that this local preference data is separately encrypted, so use your device lock and operating-system security controls to protect the device.
3. Network access and device permissions
The Android release does not request internet access, camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, motion-sensor, or advertising-identifier permissions. The iOS release likewise does not request access to those categories. Game audio is played from files packaged with the app and does not require microphone access.
4. Information we do not collect
The app does not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, device advertising identifier, payment-card details, or account password. It does not transmit your puzzle progress, hint use, settings, or gameplay to our servers.
5. Sharing, sale, and disclosure
Because the app does not collect or receive the local game state described above, we do not sell or share it. If you contact us for support, your message, email address, and any information you choose to include will be handled by your email provider and our support team only as needed to respond, maintain support records, protect users and our services, or comply with valid legal requirements.
6. Retention and deletion
Game state remains on your device until you reset progress, clear the app's storage, uninstall the app, or the operating system removes it. The in-app reset control deletes completed-level, hint, and current-puzzle progress. To remove all locally stored settings as well, clear the app's storage or uninstall it. Device backup, migration, and app-store services may handle app data under their own settings and privacy policies.
7. App stores and platform services
The current release does not require an account, subscription, in-app purchase, or paid unlock. Google Play, the Apple App Store, or another distributor may independently process download, device, diagnostic, transaction, or account information under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your payment-card details from the app.
8. Children
Polar Patchwork is a general-audience puzzle game. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through a support message, please contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights concerning personal information. Since the app has no user-account backend and does not send local game state to us, you control that state directly on your device. 10. Security
We limit the app's data handling by keeping gameplay offline and using the operating system's private app storage. No method of storage is completely secure. Keep your operating system current, use a device lock, and avoid sharing unlocked devices when you want to protect local game progress.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will be published at this location with a revised "Last updated" date. If a future release adds online services or a new data practice, we will update this policy before that practice is introduced.
